THEY PULLED ME OFF THE DESERT FLOOR

The Los Angeles-based duo Huey X Honora approached me to make a short video clip for one of their songs. After a couple of days and a few long walks with headphones, I decided to try to tackle their song "They Pulled Me Off the Desert Floor". The goal was to make something simple and symbolic, that would draw from the lyrics and fit well with the build-up and crescendo of the song. With that simplicity in mind, I animated an alegory to rescue and liberation, steadily played out with simple shapes and dramatic lighting.
